From the start a technical success
Breetec was founded in 1981 and already in those early years developed its first own product: the Breetec safety valve for silos, known today as the 'Breetec Breather Valves'. It was immediately a technical success. Due to the unique design of the Breetec valve, no solid substances or powders will accumulate in the housing that would hinder the operation of the valve.
Today, we supply breather valves for various silos and storage tanks. The standard range consists of basic elements that are modularly combined.

Pressure relief valve
Once the set pressure is reached, the weight is pushed up. Gas or air escapes into the atmosphere. The pressure in the tank or silo decreases, the weight decreases, and the valve closes automatically.
Vacuum relief valve
Works according to the same principle. Once the set pressure for the vacuum is reached, the weight is pushed up by the atmospheric pressure. Air flows into the silo or tank, the pressure increases, and the valve closes automatically.

The pressure relief valve is mounted on top of the vacuum relief valve. The operation of both valves is the same as described next to it.
Sectors
As the 'King of breather valves', we supply breather valves for various silos and storage tanks worldwide. We are mainly active in the 'Chemical & Petrochemical', 'Food', and 'Energy & Environment' sectors.
